There are instances where you may elect to
provide us with personal information. If you fill out one of our feedback
or request forms or send us email, you are transmitting the information
that appears to you in the form or the message. This will typically
include information like your name, mailing address, email address, the
kind of request you are making, and any other information necessary to
fulfill your request. You never transmit personally identifying
information that you do not enter yourself. And this is always your
option; this information cannot be collected unless you specifically elect
to send it to us. This information is used internally only for the purpose
of fulfilling the request or for contacting you directly and is not given
or sold to any other organization.
When you submit personally identifying
information via one of our feedback or application forms, that information
is also encrypted, or scrambled, by your browser before it is transmitted
back to our web site. This effectively prevents anyone from intercepting
and reading any personal information about you. Note that this encryption
does not take place if you send us email, but only when you use your web
browser with one of our site's forms.
We hope you find our website useful and
informative and are always willing to answer questions and receive
suggestions. If you have either, or would like a hard copy of this policy,
please contact
the bank. Thank you.
* We reserve the right to change our
privacy policy. A revised policy statement will only apply to data collected subsequent to its effective date. Any revisions will be posted
at least 30 days prior to its
effective date.
Client Information Privacy Policy
At MWBank, our mission is to meet the
desires of our clients. As financial service professionals entrusted with
sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our clients and
are committed to treating client information responsibly. Our Client
Information Privacy Policy serves as the standard for all MWBank associates for collection, use, retention, and security of
individual client information.
We believe the confidentiality and protection of client
information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. And while
information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that
one of our most important assets is our client's trust. Thus, the
safekeeping of client information is a priority for MWBank.
Information about clients is accumulated from a variety
of sources. Some information is provided to the Bank directly by clients
themselves. Other data is developed by the Bank as a function of providing
a product or service to a client. Still other information is obtained from
outside sources. We will limit the use and collection of information about
our clients to that which is necessary to administer our business, provide
superior service, and offer opportunities that we think will be of
interest to clients. This means that we will use information to help us
identify and mitigate potential risks or loss to MWBank.
We will use information to help identify additional products or services
which we believe clients might want to know about. We will use this
information only in accordance with the principles set out in this
Policy.
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate
information about our clients and their accounts. Should clients ever
believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information they
are encouraged to notify us. We will investigate their concerns and
correct any inaccuracies.
Associate access to personally identifiable client
information is limited to those with a business reason to know such
information. Associates are educated on the importance of maintaining the
confidentiality of client information and on the principles set forth in
this Policy. Because of the importance of these principles, all bank
associates are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of client
information and associates who violate this Policy will be subject to
disciplinary measures.
MWBank safeguards information according
to established security standards and procedures, and we continually
access new technology for protecting information. Our associates are
trained to understand and comply with these information principles.
When it comes to sharing client information with
unaffiliated companies, MWBank places strict limits on who
receives specific information about client accounts or other personally
identifiable data. The Bank may share information with such companies if
they provide a product or service that may benefit our clients. Whenever
we do this, we carefully review the company and product or service to make
sure that it provides value to our clients. We share the minimum amount of
information necessary for that company to offer its product or service.
We may also share information with unaffiliated
companies when: they assist us in providing our products and services to
our clients; in the normal course of our business (for example, with
consumer reporting agencies and government agencies); it is legally
required or permitted in connection with fraud investigations and
litigation; in connection with acquisitions and sales; and at the request
or with the permission of a client.
When the Bank conducts business with third parties, it
requires its vendors and suppliers to maintain similar standards of
conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable client
information provided to them.
MWBank recognizes and respects the
privacy expectations of our clients. We want our clients to understand our
commitment to privacy in our use of client information. As a result of our
commitment, we have developed this Client Information Privacy Policy which
is made readily available to our clients. Clients who would like a hard
copy of this policy, have questions about
this Policy, or have a question about the privacy of their client
information should email us or call MWBank at 1-800-980-9277.
